19th Annual Elder Abuse Conference, MCLE available

Friday, September 30th | 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. | Cost: $90 includes conference fee, breakfast, lunch and snack plus fee for four 1.0-credit MCLE seminars (at least 1.0 ethics) | Under NYS rules this CLE has been APPROVED for both Newly Admitted and Experienced Attorneys.

Presented during the 19th Annual Elder Abuse Conference sponsored by Vera House in association with The Syracuse Area Domestic & Sexual Violence Coalition’s Elder Justice Committee | DoubleTree Hotel, 6301 State Route 298, East Syracuse.

This year’s Elder Abuse Conference offers lawyers insight into the myriad issues facing today’s senior citizens and their caregivers in addition to the opportunity to gain MCLE credit.

For the first time, this year’s conference boasts four 1.0-credit seminars, and one of those is a 1.0 ethics credit.

  • Legal Ethics in Elder Abuse Cases (1.0 ethics)
  • Legal Responses to Financial Exploitation
  • Capacity & Self Determination (1.0 skills)
  • Criminal and Civil Remedies in Cases of Elder Abuse and Exploitation

Additionally, keynote speaker and Kerri Kasem, daughter of legendary disc jockey and radio personality Casey Kasem, will focus her remarks on elder abuse advocacy in light of her personal experience in the waning days of her father’s life.
