Onondaga
County Bar Association attorneys who have given 50 hours
of free legal services to the poor in New York are
encouraged to apply to the NYSBA Empire State Counsel
Honor Roll for 2006. Verification forms are located on
the NYSBA website.
There is an early January deadline. Congratulations go
to local attorneys Mary K. Harrington, Sidney L. Manes
and Jack B. Capron who have been honored so far this
year.
The Pro
Bono Practice Committee is seeking recommendations for
OCBA Distinguished Pro Bono Service Award recipients, to
be honored on Law Day, as well for NYSBA President’s Pro
Bono Service Award recipients. In the past, OCBA awards
have recognized the contributions of attorneys,
paralegals as well as law firms. NYSBA nominations may
be made for the following categories: Individual
Attorney; Young Attorney; In-House Counsel; Large Law
Firm (50 or more attorneys); Small/Mid-Size Law Firm;
Law Student; and Law School Group. If you would like to
