The New York State Judicial
Screening Committee is seeking applications
for the New York
State Court of Claims.
The committee will be considering applicants
to fill the following positions:

A vacancy resulting from
legislation increasing the number of
judges who can be appointed to the Court
of Claims pursuant to Court of Claims
Act § 2(a). The term for this
position expires July 31, 2014.

A vacancy resulting from
the resignation of a Court of Claims
judge who was appointed pursuant to
Court of Claims Act § 2(b) and who
served as an acting Supreme Court
Justice for the Criminal Term in the
First Judicial District in New York
County. The term for this position
expires August 26, 2009.

A vacancy resulting from
the anticipated retirement of a Court of
Claims judge who was appointed pursuant
to Court of Claims Act § 2(d) and who
served as an acting Supreme Court
Justice in the Tenth Judicial District
in Suffolk County. The term for this
position expires December 31, 2013.
Applicants must:

Reside in New York State.

Be admitted to practice
law in New York State for at least ten
years.

Be attorneys in good
standing.
