Presenters

Lucero Saldana Mistry, Esq. in 2019 Mistry was promoted to Supervising Attorney of the Hiscock Legal Aid Society‘s immigration program.

Born in Lima, Peru, Mistry moved to Florida as an infant. She lived in Hollywood, FL and attended high school there before doing undergraduate work in Boca Raton. She attended Florida Coastal School of Law. She moved to New York State in 2016.

 

Reta Raymond, Esq. is a staff attorney at Legal Services of Central New York on the Advocacy and Legal Services for Low Income Non-Citizens (ALL IN) project. On the ALL IN project, she provides legal services for individuals with issues ancillary to their immigration case, that are either creating barriers to their immigration case or to gaining access to the basic necessities of life, e.g. housing, income, employment. Ms. Raymond graduated from Syracuse University College of Law in 2013 where she focused on international human rights law. During law school she spent her summers as an intern at Human Rights Watch in Kampala, Uganda in 2011, and for Access to Justice Law Centre in Makeni, Sierra Leone in 2012. Ms. Raymond is originally from the Pacific Northwest and holds a B.A. from the University of Washington.

Sara McDowell, Esq. Immigration Attorney, Volunteer Lawyers Project of Onondaga County, Inc. McDowell has represented clients in immigration matters since August 2003 when she worked with the Pennsylvania Immigration Resource Centers. She has progressed throughout her career to serve clients through the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants. She is a Class of 2000 graduate of LeMoyne College and received her J.D. from the Villanova University School of Law.
