Recent Events, including unprecedented public attention to racially-motivated violence and the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, have affected the nature and frequency of bullying in the workplace — in both positive and negative ways.

This CLE explores statutes, including the New York State Public Employer Workplace Violence Protection Act and recent amendments to the New York State Human Rights Law, designed to curtail workplace bullying.

Presenters Sarah Ruhlen and Diane Williamson of the Satter Ruhlen Law Firm, PLLC will examine what works, what doesn’t work, and what — if any — practical effect legislation has on the problem of bullying and harassment in the workplace.
