Daniel S. Greene is a licensed attorney at Newman & Lickstein in Syracuse, where he advises individual and corporate clients in the areas of business and corporate law, technology and venture capital, and other transactional matters, with a focus in the collegiate sports, professional sports, esports, gaming, content creator and entertainment industries. In the NIL space specifically, Daniel advises athletes, agents, collectives, startups, and institutions on NIL compliance, risk mitigation and policy development. He has been a NIL panelist and speaker at various conferences, featured on sports radio, television, and podcasts nationwide discussing various legal issues in the NIL business, and frequently provides guest lectures at schools throughout New York State. Dan is an adjunct sports law professor at SUNY Cortland, was recognized by On3 as a leading voice in College Sports and named a 40 Under Forty recipient by the Central New York Business Journal, and graduated from the Syracuse University College of Law in 2016 where he was the President of the Entertainment & Sports Law Society and an Associate Notes Editor for the Syracuse Law Review.
Dave Meluni has more than 25 years of experience in the sport industry, notably in the collegiate athletic space. He teaches NIL courses in the Falk College of Sport at Syracuse University and was the first professor in the country to write a course on NIL in 2021. He spent six years as the Vice President of Sales at SIDEARM Sports, where he negotiated and signed agreements with the University of Texas, University of Kansas, the Heisman Trophy, and the Maui Invitational as well as hundreds of Division I, II and III institutions. The Syracuse native spent 10 years with IMG College, the multi-media rights holder at Syracuse University, where he maintained a client base of over $1 million per year. He is a former Division III student-athlete at Ithaca College where he captained the baseball team his senior year.
John Wolohan, Esq. is a professor of Sports Law in the Syracuse University Falk College of Sport and a Professor of Law by courtesy appointment in the College of Law at Syracuse University. Professor Wolohan has been teaching and working in the fields of sports law, gaming law, and sports media for over 25 years. In addition to making numerous national and international presentations, he is the lead editor of the books: “Law for Recreation and Sport Managers” and “Routledge Handbook on Sports Law and Governance.” He is also co-author of “Sports Analytics: An Applied Introduction to How Numbers are Changing Sport.”
