Dear Paralegal Members of the Onondaga County Bar Association:
My name is Maria Cinti and I am proud to announce that I have taken over as Chair of the Paralegals Section of the Onondaga County Bar Association. I have worked as a Paralegal in the Syracuse area since 2011 and am currently employed with Mackenzie Hughes in its litigation department.
I am so excited to have some wonderful Paralegals and other legal industry professionals on our Executive Committee:
- Linda Lerch, Account Executive with Vanguard Research &Title
- Jean Swanger, Paralegal with Barclay Damon
- Angelique Kraus, Paralegal with Wegerski Law Firm
- Ranette Releford, Administrator of the Syracuse Citizen Review Board
- Wendy VanDerWater, Paralegal with St. Joseph’s Hospital
- Heidi Miller, Paralegal with Mangano Law Firm
- Shanan Peck, Paralegal with Hinman, Howard & Kattell
The Executive Committee is working hard to grow membership and we look forward to presenting interesting and insightful guest speakers for the 2018 luncheons. We are also looking at ways to expand the Committee’s philanthropic endeavors within the county. We understand how busy life can be between work, family and everything in between, but becoming a member of the Paralegals Section is easy. We host 9 luncheons a year and encourage all of our members to attend. The luncheons are a great way to network with members of the Bar Association and other Paralegals and legal professionals in the county.
Our members are also invited, but in no way required, to attend the once monthly Executive Committee Meetings as we welcome your feedback as to how the Paralegals Section can better serve our legal community.
Lastly, we are thrilled to announce that the Hon. James P. Murphy will be our first luncheon speaker of 2018! On February 14, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at the Onondaga County Bar Association offices located at 431 E. Fayette Street, 3rd Floor Conference Room. Judge Murphy will share his experience and views on the importance of the paralegal in today’s legal field. Lunch will be provided by Hinman, Howard & Katell. Keep your eyes open for an official email on this with further information.
We encourage you all to get involved in 2018!
Maria C. Cinti
