The Intersection of Effective Client Communication and Mental Health

This CLE training is FREE to Past and Future volunteers  of the Volunteer Lawyers Project.

We will be covering how to effectively communicate with clients who might have mental health issues, what to do with a client who might be going through a crisis or having an episode, and how this knowledge can be practically applied in a Talk to a Lawyer clinic setting. Additionally, client competency as it relates to mental health, attorney client confidentiality in a brief service setting and conflicts as it relates to a Talk to a Lawyer Clinic will be covered.

While this training is provided by the VLP for free for the benefit of its volunteer attorneys, some spots may be available for attorneys NOT looking to volunteer at this time.
