The Onondaga County Bar Association Board of Directors with its esteemed membership extends its hearty congratulations to both friend and colleague the Hon. James P. Murphy upon his appointment to serve as the Deputy Chief Administrative Judge for Courts Outside New York City.
Judge Murphy led the OCBA as president from 2017 to 2018. During his tenure, his organizational talents were evident in his hands-on stewardship of an already robust committee structure while at the same time navigating a successful campaign for re-election, earned in 2019, to the State Supreme Court, Fifth Judicial District, to which he was initially elected in 2005.
