As of January 18, 2017, the Onondaga County Surrogate’s Court is now a mandatory eFiling court for probate and administrative proceedings and miscellaneous proceedings relating thereto for such proceedings.
Fifth Judicial District Administrative Judge James C. Tormey announces judicial assignments in the five-county district. In a statement, Tormey expressed “every confidence that this team will continue to lead the State in innovative ideas, follow through with a systematic implementation of our standards and goals responsibilities, and the timely and efficient delivery of justice to all that seek it.”

Applications are being accepted for two pro se law clerk positions in the United States District Court for the Western District of New York. Duties include drafting legal memoranda, reports and recommendations, decisions and orders plus analyizng statutes and legal issues in federal habeas corpus and civil rights matters.
The Onondaga County Bar Association is currently seeking volunteers interested in serving on its Continuing Legal Education and Lawyer Referral Service committees (each meets monthly), its Law Day Committee (Law Day will be held May 2 in 2017) — and members interested in being considered for its Board of Directors.
