Presenters:

Lucero Saldana Mistry, Esq., Immigration Attorney, Hiscock Legal Aid Society.  Mistry joined the Hiscock  Civil/Immigration team as a Staff Attorney in October 2018. She serves HLAS under a new immigration grant from Empire Justice to handle removal cases and other immigration work. She graduated from the Florida Coastal School of Law in 2009 and has been handling asylum, removal and detention and naturalization cases since 2010. She has been active in trial and appellate practice before the Immigration Courts, the Board of Immigration Appeals and Administrative Appeals Office since 2010 as well.

Sara McDowell, Esq. Immigration Attorney, Volunteer Lawyers Project of Onondaga County, Inc. McDowell has represented clients in immigration matters since August 2003 when she worked with the Pennsylvania Immigration Resource Centers. She has progressed throughout her career to serve clients through the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants. She is a Class of 2000 graduate of LeMoyne College and received her J.D. from the Villanova University School of Law.

James P. Tracy, Esq., Senior Attorney, Hiscock Legal Aid Society. Tracy has been with HLAS for more than 19 years, and has practiced immigration law there since 2003. He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the New York State Bar Association, and the Onondaga County Bar Association. He is a graduate of Fordham University School of Law, where he served as Case Notes Editor of the Law Review; and of Syracuse University. He received a 2018 Pro Bono Champion Award from the Volunteer Lawyers Project of Onondaga County, Inc.
