This training provides the information you will need for the more than just the run-of-the-mill custody, child support and paternity cases OR if you plan to volunteer with the Volunteer Lawyers Project of Onondaga County, Inc. at its Family Court clinics held on Wednesdays and Fridays at the Onondaga County Courthouse and/or Monday nights at Vera House, the area’s primary domestic violence and sexual assault prevention agency. In fact, you may attend this CLE for free if you commit to that service.
Participants will gain knowledge about Child Support issues including managing payments in arrears and Driver’s License suspensions: Family Court Clinic Best Practices such as when to advise clients not to file: Domestic Violence Victim as Litigant training that covers when to go to Supreme Court v. Family Court and when to do orders of protection v. an order to show cause or when to do both.
