“To Kill a Mockingbird” at Syracuse Stage — A Young Lawyers Section Event

Thursday, March 3rd | 6:00 reception | 7:30 performance

The Young Lawyers Section  invites all OCBA members to a performance of  “To Kill a Mockingbird” at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 3.

Harper Lee’s beloved American classic “To Kill a Mockingbird” pits Alabama man Tom Robinson, a black field hand, against small-town residents who allege he raped a local white woman. While many would wish him condemned, attorney Atticus Finch seeks justice and defends Robinson at trial. The town’s racist ethos is laid bare through the proceeding for Finch’s children Scout, Jem and their friend Dill. The eloquence of this Pulitzer Prize-winning literary powerhouse is renowned and brought to life at Syracuse Stage.

A 6 p.m. “Southern Dessert Soiree Happy Hour” at the theater’s bar before the show offers half-priced drink specials, including signature drink Tequila Mockingbird, along with delectable desserts provided by Sweets by Jasmin. As your taste buds wrap around the regional confections, join community reading program CNY Reads and spin the trivia wheel to test your knowledge of the famous novel written in 1960.

Special ticket price: just $25/each.  Guest are welcome; indicate names and any special seating requests in the comments section below.  Pre-payment is required; tickets will be held in your name at the Syracuse Stage Box Office, and available the night of the show.
