(PLEASE NOTE: The LRS phone line will not be available until Tuesday, March 31st due to staffing. You may use the online form here to enter your information, and you will be contacted after March 31. Or, please consider attending one of the no-cost “Talk to a Lawyer” Clinics hosted by the Volunteer Lawyers Project, where you may consult with an attorney on a first-come, first-served basis. Those clinics are held: WEDNESDAY, at East Syracuse Free Library (4990 James St., East Syracuse) from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.; THURSDAY, at Westcott Community Center (825 Euclid Ave., Syracuse) from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.; or MONDAY at Brown Memorial Church (228 Davis St., Syracuse, corner of Geddes) from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. We apologize for any inconvenience.)
At the Onondaga County Bar Association (OCBA) Lawyer Referral Service, your call will be answered by a Referral Specialist who will connect you with an attorney who is familiar with your type of legal issue. The attorney will provide a telephone consultation and further advise how the attorney will charge for his/her services. Our lawyers are licensed and members in good standing with the OCBA. LRS staff is available between 9:00 A.M. – 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, except for holidays.
The LRS staff are NOT attorneys and cannot provide you with legal advice. The attorneys who participate in this service are private attorneys who charge regular rates as determined by them.
